 We provide language learning story boxes especially designed for parents to introduce stories and concepts in different African languages to children age 2-5 

Stories and Language

 Stories are a great way for young children to learn a language. By exposing young children to books in their mother tongue you are building the necessary foundation for the development of reading and writing skills. Our language boxes are a fantastic tool for bilingual households because they expose children to the language in the context of a story. 

How is this resource a valuable language learning tool?

To ensure the educational value of our resources we have partnered with Vivlia Publishers which has a wealth of experience developing content with teachers and language specialists. 

Our boxes are lots of fun and good for parent-child bonding! 

Age group

 Though our boxes are designed for children 2-5.  We have had many parents with children below and above that age group who have really enjoyed the resources. 

Concept Books

Concept books help children to become more specific in their understanding and use of language. 

Concepts books help a child to understand about direction, location, position, number, quantity, sequence, attributes, dimension, size and similarities and differences.

Listening Session

Audio reading of the story to  provide the correct modelling of the language 

Story book related to the theme

Story book with an enjoyable story for parents to read to the child. The story is based on the theme of the month. 

Activity item

These will either be a themed puzzle, game or other fun item to reinforce the concepts
